Ikelite has announced a series of new products that provide TTL exposure control with Panasonic/Olympus or Canon cameras. Designed primarily for use with Ikelite’s DS series strobes and 200DL housings, they are available in a number of options, including kits containing a hotshoe, bulkhead and the external converter.

TRT-Electronics ships TURTLE SMART TTL converter

TRT-Electronics are shipping two new versions of their TURTLE TTL converter. The TURTLE SMART mounts on the camera’s hotshoe are available for Nikon, Canon, Olympus/Panasonic, and Sony versions and are user programmable for different camera models. The TURTLE Mobie has the same features, but is smaller and can be mounted anywhere in the housing.

UW Technics releases TTL converter

At the recent BOOT Show, Subal, Nauticam, BS Kinetics and others were showing or offering new TTL circuitry that enables both electric and fiber optic TTL (and manual) triggering of strobes. Wetpixel has done a little digging, and can now reveal the actual specifications of the board. Currently available only for Nikon cameras, and for use with Z240 and YS-D1/D2 strobes, there are plans to launch versions for Canon and perhaps Sony, as well as for additional strobes.
