Canon has announced four professional 4K 30p camcorders. The XA55 and XA50 have 1-inch sensors, nine-bladed apertures, and Dual-Pixel CMOS AF. The XA40 and XA45 have 1/2.84 sized sensors and eight-bladed apertures. All the new cameras have five-axis image stabilization and record to dual internal SD cards.

Canon has announced there new 4K camcorders. All three features a 15x optical zoom lens and support 4K recording via a 1.0-inch CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC DV 6 image-processor. Output is 4K/60p 4:2:2 MPEG-4 recording on to 2 SD cards.

Panasonic announces HC-X1 4K Camcorder

Panasonic has announced the HC-X1 4K camcorder. It features a 24mm zoom lens billed as the “widest in the industry for a camcorder with integrated lens”. It has a 1 inch sensor and can record 4K at 24p and UHD or HD at 60p/50p. In HD, it will support a variable frame rate from 2 to 60fps. The HC-X1’s supported recording formats are MOV, MP4 and AVCHD to two internal SD card drives.
