Seacam Ships Silver Housing for EOS 5D Mark IV

Seacam are shipping their new Silver housing for the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. The company has also announced that they can upgrade existing Silver EOS5DMKIII housings to work with the new camera at the factory. As some parts need to be replaced, the conversion process will not be backward compatible i.e. converted housings will no longer work with the 5D Mark III.

The SEACAM silver for the CANON EOS5DMKIV sets new standards in design and ergonomics. Due to the special construction, the mounting of the camera is especially easy. The housing is milled out of a saltwater-proof light metal alloy twice hardened and high-value anodized.

Special longevity is achieved through use of materials of only the best quality: stainless steel, anodized aluminum, premium synthetics as well as Helicoil threads.

Double sealing with seamless, high-quality precision O-rings protects all shafts and press buttons. The main O-ring is of a particularly strong dimension. he titanium SAFETY LOCK fastening system safely secures both housing shells.

Our interchangeable viewfinder system includes 4 different viewfinders and can be exchanged without any tool.

The easy mounting system and the double O-ring sealing particularly secures the SEACAM front port connection with its bayonet thread.

A modification of the existing 5 DMkIII Housing is possible, yes. However, it has to be the case with SEACAM be modified. On / off switch, video / Photo Switch, as well as a few little things need to be changed. After the modification on the 5 DMkIV but then it is no longer possible to use 5 DMkIII. So, either or….
